Our Heritage and Evolution

HY-TEK is a privately owned company whose origins began from a business first known as Telecommunications Ltd which was formed in 1958.
​
In the mid-1980’s HY-TEK went on to become part of the OSEL Group whose activities ranged from precision engineering to the design and manufacture of small inspection systems to complex robotic subsea vehicles. OSEL was recognised in 1982 with the Queen's Award for Technological Achievement.
​
In 1992 HY-TEK became a stand-alone business with one aim of providing customers with consistently maintained top-quality precision engineering, welding, and sheet metal work services and products at competitive prices, an aim which is still kept to the modern day.
Our Workforce

Our workforce is the heart of our organisation and embodies all the skills required. We employ time-served machinists and fabricators/welders.

​Our wide range of skills and equipment enable us to offer our customers the facility to produce components in batch sizes from a prototype 1 off, to much larger batches.
​
We can offer up-to-date CNC solutions together with traditional manual production disciplines.
​
Whichever technique we employ to produce our customers' components, the attention to detail, accuracy, and pride always remain the same.​​​
