Accounts Assistant

We have the exciting opportunity to join our team as we seek an experienced Accounts Assistant with a permanent vacancy on a part-time basis, at our premises in Great Yarmouth.


You will be a key member of a small office team working in a friendly family-owned SME business. You will need to be hardworking with meticulous attention to detail and a self-starter with excellent with accountancy experience.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare payroll data weekly and monthly for external accountants and add journal entries on accounting software
Process supplier invoices
Manage invoicing of all customers, statement production and credit control
Petty cash management
Timesheet data entry
Posting bank transactions and bank reconciliation
Month-end adjustments including prepayment and accruals
Month-end preparation of management accounts
General admin and ad-hoc tasks as they arise

 

Experience & Skills
Minimum 3 years’ experience
Excellent attention to detail
Experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Sage 50
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Use initiative and deal with issues as and when they arise
Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude at all times
Motivated with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Salary
Up to 13.50 per hour dependent on experience
Flexibility is offered on the number of days and hours
Permanent position based at company premises
